Casa de Paz Beginning and Intermediate Spanish

Have you ever spent time with an immigrant released from detention or written to someone who is currently detained and your Spanish skills (or lack thereof) got in the way of good communication? 

Fear not! Our favorite Spanish teacher, Karen Rowan with Fluency Fast, is coming to our rescue! She’s putting on an exclusive Spanish class for the Casa de Paz volunteers. And as our gift to you, we’re covering the cost of this course so that our volunteers, guests and penpals can have the best experience possible when speaking this beautiful language. 

At Fluency Fast, they bypass the traditional approach to teaching and create fun, effective and affordable personal interactive workshops. No computer, no exhausting memorization exercises – just a proven, profound, and effective way of learning.

Class Details

• Tuesdays/Thursdays 
• 5:30pm - 6:00, beginners
• 6:00pm - 6:30pm, intermediate 
• Starts on the last week of January and goes  through the first week of March 

Karen will customize each class to be pertinent for our volunteers to learn and practice commonly used phrases such as:

“Where are you traveling to?”

“Are you hungry?”

“Who is picking you up at the airport?”

And much, much more!
